Community Guidelines
Last updated: July 23, 2026
ColumbusOne is built for Columbus neighbors and local businesses. These guidelines keep the portal useful, fair, and safe for everyone.
1. Be honest
- Use your real business identity on profiles and deals. Do not impersonate another business or person.
- Promo codes, discounts, dates, and terms must match what customers can actually receive while a deal is live.
- Service requests should describe a real need — no spam or fake inquiries.
2. Deals & promotions
- Submit deals for review before they go public. Pending deals stay off the website until approved.
- Do not post misleading “limited time” claims, bait-and-switch pricing, or terms that hide major restrictions.
- Honor your offer for the full published date range unless the deal is paused or removed for a valid reason.
- If an approved offer changes in a material way, expect it to go back through review.
3. Photos & media
- Upload only images you own or have permission to use.
- No illegal, graphic, hateful, or adult content.
- Prefer clear photos of your real business, products, or work — stock spam and stolen images may be removed.
4. Respect the community
- No harassment, hate speech, or threats.
- No scams, phishing, malware links, or attempts to harvest others’ account data.
- Do not abuse review, trash, or reporting flows to harm competitors.
5. Accounts & safety
- Keep your login private; you are responsible for activity on it.
- Do not create accounts only to spam deals or flood the inquiry form.
- We may pause deals, trash content, or deactivate accounts that break these guidelines or our Terms of Use.
6. Report a problem
See a misleading deal, abusive content, or something that feels unsafe? Email contact@columbusone.com with the page link and a short description. We will review as soon as we can.
